Lihie is an environmental engineer and a sustainability professional with vast professional knowledge and practical experience in environmental resources management, industrial emissions reduction, land-based sources pollution in the marine environment, developing advanced regulation, and its implementation. Additionally, Lihie has local experience consulting the public and private sectors in Israel and international experience consulting the UN.
Before her current position, Lihie supported the Israel Ministry of Environmental Protection in developing environmental regulation for Israel’s major industrial plants and in the implementation of international legislation in Israel in the fields of integrated regulation and the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR). Furthermore, Lihie was the regional consultant for the Preparation of the Regional Plan for Urban Wastewater Treatment for the Protection of the Mediterranean for the Barcelona Convention Secretariat at UNEP.
Lihie is leading the ESG department at BDO Israel. There, she advises many clients on their ESG journey, including how to improve and implement ESG into business strategies and reports, develop ESG policies, manage climate and ESG risksand opportunities, develop green financing opportunities, and use responsible investing tools.
