CEO of ESIL
Amir Horowitz is the CEO of ESIL, a venture platform accelerating and commercializing breakthrough climate-tech startups. Under Amir’s leadership, ESIL invests in technologies addressing critical challenges across energy production and storage, carbon capture, hydrogen, industrial cooling, autonomous robotics, and EV charging optimization.
Founded by EDF Power Solutions, Johnson Matthey, and the Bazan Group — with the support of the Israel Innovation Authority — ESIL has quickly become a key player in Israel’s climate innovation ecosystem. Amir drives ESIL’s strategic vision, investment approach, and partnerships, leveraging his extensive background in energy innovation.
Prior to ESIL, Amir led Innovation and Strategy at EDF Power Solutions Israel, where he built open innovation frameworks, evaluated emerging technologies, and established collaborations with startups across renewable energy, storage, and smart grid technologies.
