Professor Brian Rosen currently serves as the Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and is among Israel’s leading researchers in the fields of energy and advanced materials. He brings extensive experience in leading applied research and advancing technological innovation. He is a full professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Tel Aviv University and previously served as Vice Dean for International Affairs in the Faculty of Engineering. Throughout his career, he has bridged academia, industry, and public policy, and has worked to develop solutions in the fields of advanced fuels, hydrogen, and low-emission energy production.
Professor Rosen has an extensive track record in entrepreneurship and international collaboration. He founded three energy-related startups, two of which were acquired, holds more than 20 patents, and has received international recognition and awards for his contributions to applied research and innovation. Among other honors, he was included in the list of the world’s most cited scientists and received the KKL Climate Solutions Award. In 2025, he was selected as a Senior Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in the United States.
