CEO of e-NRGY and Expert in Economics and Regulation of the Electricity Sector
Dr. Nurit Gal is the CEO of e-NRGY consultancy. Prior to that, she was head of regulation and vice chairman of the Israeli Electricity Authority. In this capacity, she led the implementation of Israel’s renewable targets, designed the Israeli wholesale electricity market, and led the long-term planning of the electricity sector. Dr. Gal holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Math, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, a Master in Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins University, an M.Sc. in Operations Research from Tel Aviv University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Tel Aviv University. Her dissertation is titled: “The effect of fuel cost uncertainty on investments in competitive electricity markets.”
