Rotem Avin is the Head of Electricity Policy at the Sustainable Energy Division of the Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure. She is responsible for formulating and implementing national policy in the field of conventional power generation, including the development, regulation and integration of power plants into Israel’s electricity market.
Rotem monitors the ongoing electricity market reform launched in 2018, works to promote the establishment of power plants in the Judea and Samaria region and accelerate the development of the national electricity grid.
Rotem has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Energy Engineering, both from Ben-Gurion University.
