Sharon Hatzor is the Deputy Director General and Head of the Senior Policy Planning and Strategy Division. She began her work at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in 2017. Initially, she led strategic projects within the Ministry, and was later appointed to head the Policy Division. In 2020, she was appointed to her current position as Deputy Director General for Policy Planning and Strategy, thereby establishing the unit within the Ministry.
In her role, Sharon is responsible for a wide range of areas, including foreign relations, the Ministry’s long-term strategy, policy and regulation, and the Ministry’s budget. She previously also served as a director at Noga – Israel’s Electricity System Management Company, and before that worked in the industry and food sectors and served as an economist and team leader at the Competition Authority. Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
