Shira Gil serves as the Head of Projects and Policy in the Planning Policy, and Strategy Division at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. In her role, she leads strategic processes and projects, including advancing the use of artificial intelligence in the energy sector, coordinating the Ministry’s governmental energy companies forum on AI, and developing a holistic perspective on the maritime domain and energy.
Previously, Shira held professional roles in the Strategy Division at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and in the Freedom of Information Unit at the Ministry of Environmental Protection. She is a graduate of the Government Fellows Program and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology and an M.A. in Sociology, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
