Shlomi Basson is the Deputy CEO of Bazan Group, the largest refinery in Israel with a market cap of over 1 billion dollars. He is in charge of the hydrogen, innovation, procurement and engagement, environment, safety and security departments. He also manages the operational response for the commercial SMR plant, hydrogen storage, distribution and refueling station. He leads Bazan’s transition strategy for green fuel and polymers. He is a task-oriented, natural leader and highly committed to the green energy revolution.
Prior to his roles in Bazan, Shlomi served in the IDF for 27 years, reaching the rank of colonel and serving as the Head of the Planning and Organization Department of the Israeli Navy. He held various command positions in the naval force.
